We are interested in the physics of both soft and hard materials. Specifically, we studies the electronic structure of carbon-based materials using the first-principle calculation, the nano- and bio- materials using the Molecular Dynamics, the properties of atomic and molecular systems using sevral numerical methods, and the phase transitions of soft condended matter using both elaborated analytic theory and numerical calculation.
We also actively collaborate with experimentalists, both inside and outside of our college. There are several undergoing international collaboration projects at this moment.
